Not impressed with this place, but the food is amazing! The experience didn't start off well... when we arrived at the time of our restaurant booking we were told that our reservation had been cancelled - even though we had our booking confirmation. We were then told to have a drink at the bar while they prepare a table for us. We ordered a bottle of wine at the bar and when we asked if we could put the bill on our table as we would be eating imminently, we were told that was not possible. The bar staff provided us with an unopened bottle, 3 dirty glasses and gave us the bill including a £4 service charge! To which we declined to pay as we would be paying the service charge at the end of our meal, and as they refused to put it on our table bill, we were not going to pay twice. Once we finally sat down at a small bar table, the service was good and the waitress took her time to explain every dish - each one was delicious! The mushroom and truffle dumplings were incredible and the crab and samphire - chefs kiss! In my opinion, the initial service we received was why I marked this place as 3 stars but the food stole the show. Good place for a date night but the attentiveness of staff needs some consistency..As a guest, you should feel welcomed from start to finish.

I had an afternoon here. The dumplings are 10/10 ; the savoury and sweet selection was tasty. Will be going back for more dumplings!
