Interesting history but fairly bare.

La Jewel Tower es un elemento sobreviviente al antiguo palacio de Westminster. Se construyó entre 1365 y 1366, bajo la dirección de Guillermo de Sleaford y Enrique de Yevele, para albergar el tesoro personal del rey Eduardo III. La torre siguió utilizándose para guardar el tesoro y las posesiones personales del monarca hasta 1512. Entonces un incendio en el palacio hizo que el rey Enrique VIII trasladara su corte al cercano palacio de Whitehall. A finales del siglo XVI, la Cámara de los Lores comenzó a utilizar la torre para almacenar sus registros parlamentarios. La torre continuó siendo la oficina de registros de los Lores durante el siglo XVIII. Se llevaron a cabo varias renovaciones para mejorar su protección contra incendios y su comodidad. Esto creó el aspecto actual de la torre. Fue uno de los cuatro edificios que sobrevivieron al incendio del Parlamento en 1834. Hidden piece of Westminster history from the 14th century, one of the oldest surviving structures of the Palace of Westminster and was really nice and interesting to look around. Highly recommend visiting, especially if you are a member of English Heritage, plus it has a nice small café at the ground floor.
