Great place! A small donation is (politely) requested but it's fantastic that the farm is free to all. Two children (1 and 3) loved the animals and were lucky enough to see a bit of feeding time. We had some tasty bagels at the on-site cafe. Would recommend the nearby wetlands boardwalk too.

Sadly this farm has gone downhill. Whilst the main petting farm and animal areas are lovely, as are the farm shop staff. The gates around the farm have seen better days and have been rammed a lot by animals leading to damage, including a part of a fance that came off after a goat knocked it trying to get food. I cannot fault the staff for that of course as they genuinely came very quickly to do a quick repair as soon as I notified them. The cafe was awful though, I saw some other complaints here about this, and having come here as a child I wanted to give them the benefit of doubt. I wanted to think it was just busy and they had to deal with a lot of kids and it was overwhelming. I have dealt with this myself at my own job and do understand. However they messed up our order and left things off, then when we asked about it and they hadn't even put it on the receipt. We also had to triple check what teas had the correct milk as I have allergies and they couldn't remember themselves. They also didn't give us metal cutlery after that fiasco, but other people in our party who had ordered separately all got metal cutlery. I have seen better customer service skills in busier places.

This farm is great for kids, I went with my family last weeks and its clearly showing signs of struggling but they look like they are doing the best they can with the amount of donations they are getting. Definitely get some animal feed to feed the cows and goats it's a great time.
