Took some effort to find the Billingsgate Roman House & Baths on Lower Thames Street, but it’s a hidden gem! This 2nd-century Roman site, found in 1848, looks intriguing from the outside, tucked under an office block—gotta book a Saturday tour in advance.

This place looks really interesting but you can only visit on Saturdays by booking in advance. This is not clear on their Google entry or at the venue itself. I do wish venues would update their information to assist locals and tourists who might not fancy the scrum at the nearby Tower of London!
