About

The Russische Gedächtniskirche in Leipzig is an exquisite example of Russian Revival architecture crafted by architect Vladimir Pokrovski. This enchanting historical site, built at the beginning of the 20th century, pays homage to the 22,000 Russian soldiers who bravely perished during the Battle of the Nations in 1813. The church's stunning exterior and magical chandelier draw visitors in, while the beautiful iconostasis and exquisite altar offer a serene and atmospheric experience. Having undergone restoration in 1945, 1963, and 1989, the church remains a well-preserved treasure. Located approximately a 30-minute walk from the city center near a tranquil park, it promises a rewarding visit for a nominal entrance fee of 1.00 Euro. With an impressive average Google rating of 4.5 stars, this site is a must-visit for history enthusiasts and admirers of architectural beauty.

To zwykły budynek.
