About

Kościół św. Kazimierza Królewicza, nestled quietly among other buildings in Katowice, offers a unique attraction with its bright and spacious single-nave interior. Opened on 21 January 1993, this cathedral, designed by architects Leon Dietz d'Army and Jan Zarzycki, stands out with its simple yet striking facade adorned with large glass panes. The structure itself is compact and cubic, enhancing its modern aesthetic.

Inside, visitors can admire stained glass windows by renowned artist Józef Mehoffer and a minimalistic military décor featuring eagles on the entrance columns. Despite its contemporary look, the church has a long and colorful history as a garrison church, making it a fascinating site for both history enthusiasts and architectural admirers. Rated 4.4 stars on Google, this serene sanctuary is a must-visit gem in the heart of Katowice.

Гарна церква, яка стала притулком для українців угкц. Але катастрофічно нема де припаркуватися.

Z zewnątrz nic specjalnego, a w środku piękny wystrój. Tylu świętych przy ołtarzu :) Z boku św. Rita :)
