What a great place for a working person’s lunch or in our situation anyone on holiday in Helsinki. A different main meal each day of the week and on Friday we had overnight cooked beef in red wine sauce with garlic potatoes. You also get a tossed salad and cabbage salad choice. Great food, reasonably priced with friendly staff to explain the options. Can be busy but there is always a space to fit into.

I visited Pompier Albertinkatu for lunch buffet. They have two salad bars but you need to pay extra for the second one. The food options at the buffet are of the highest quality, but there is only one or two main options every day. The salad bar is good but nothing very special. The place is almost always very crowded, and you might have to stand in a queue if you come during busy hours. It can also be hard to find a place to sit. All in all, the food quality is one of the best. It could be improved with a better salad bar and more dessert options, which were almost poor. I do recommend and will come back again.
