The hills near the tower are quite nice to hike and with all the trees and nature around you it's perfect for either a short afternoon hike or as a stop. There are some benches nearby for having a short break. However, the view from the tower is not spectacular as it is limited by nearby hills and forest. Also the steps are not uniform and can be quite slippery when it rained.
