It’s a good pub where they have put effort into making it cosy and with good meal deals every week day. They put the music up way too loud whenever they have the live band on though, which is a shame as you can barely hear yourself speak let alone have a conversation with someone across the table from you. Also, for 9£ espresso martini we were given coffee shaken with just vodka, which tasted as good as it sounds ———————- Edit after I went again a few months later: This time I went early evening and a trad band was playing, just two guys playing violin and guitar, all acoustic and a really lovely vibe! I had the chicken strips for a snack and they were tasty and a decent price. I’d say they’ve redeemed themselves, though I’ve not been brave enough to try another cocktail!

What a great full service pub. Extremely dog friendly with indoor seating available, treats and water as needed. The server even told us they take care of their dogs! The Sunday roast was massive for a reasonable price tag of 12£ including unlimited Yorkshire pudding. Drinks are reasonably priced and we'll advertised. They have daily specials that are actually special. Plenty of TVs available for sports as well. Really worth a visit any day of the week!

What an excellent find this place was. Took the kids along with friends and their kids on a Saturday evening. Had the salt and chili prawns to start which were really tasty followed by steak frites which is their offer on a Saturday night - £12 for a perfectly cooked steak with peppercorn sauce and a healthy portion of fries on the side. Outstanding value. Best thing about this place though was the service. Really friendly staff who were excellent with the kids. We were made to feel really welcome. Looking at their menu, they have lots of offers on most nights of the week. We will definitely be back!
