Having had The Kitchen Window on my hit-list for so long, my expectations were pretty high. From the outside, it may look like your Gran’s knitting group might meet here, but inside, it couldn’t be further from that. The vibe is warm, the views Incredible and the staff instantly welcoming. Even our dog was made feel like a VIP. Let’s start with the infamous hand-cut chips. These aren’t just chips. They’re golden, crispy, thick-cut slices of potato sorcery. You’ll eat one and immediately start plotting your return. The Steak Ciabatta was incredible! Juicy steak with a dash of pesto, topped with peppery rocket in a fresh ciabatta, and the Ruben tasted like it had been blessed by a New York deli ghost. The food here slaps harder than your Dad’s slipper. The milkshakes were unapologetically indulgent and the hot chocolate rich enough to file your taxes, and as if enough sugar hadn’t already been consumed, we also ordered a few tray bakes…the Oreo Brownie was enough to make you reevaluate your life choices - in the best possible way. I wish I could gatekeep this place, but here I am, betraying myself for the greater good. Honestly, don’t walk, run to The Kitchen Window.

Situated in centre of Killearn with free parking adjacent. Fantastic views from restaurant over to mountains in distance. Varied choice of food from interesting lunch/brunch menu. Service was great. At peak times suggest booking table as number of people were turned away when we were there.
