I visited Watan Grill (previously known as Khyber Pass) while I was in Glasgow, and honestly, it was one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. The food was absolutely delicious, full of flavour, freshly cooked, and tasted just like proper home-style Afghan and Peshawari dishes. The staff were so friendly and respectful, they really made me feel welcome. You can tell the new owners and management are doing a great job, the atmosphere was lovely, and the service was spot on. Prices were really reasonable too, especially considering the quality of the food. It’s great value compared to a lot of other places. I don’t live in Glasgow, but if I ever come back, I’ll definitely be eating here again. Highly recommend giving it a try if you’re in the area – you won’t be disappointed

Always loved their food and a great portion of kabuli pulao. Went there today just to see that they are closed and someone else is taking over. Hope they become a part of it.
