2025 Churches, Cathedrals

St Pierre Cathedral in Geneva stands as a monumental piece of history, intertwining Gothic, Neoclassical, and Romanesque architectural styles. First opened in 1150, this cathedral is not only a sacred space but also a testament to time. Visitors can explore its remarkably preserved interior, reflecting centuries of architectural evolution. The cathedral offers breathtaking panoramic views from its walkway between the towers, though the climb is steep. These views make the effort worthwhile for those seeking a unique perspective of Geneva. The cathedral's historical significance is further enriched by its association with John Calvin, adding layers of cultural depth. Entry is free, but visitors can opt to purchase tickets for access to the towers and museum. Currently undergoing renovations, St Pierre Cathedral remains well-maintained and continues to captivate with its beauty and heritage, earning an impressive 4.5 rating on Google.

La cattedrale è davvero molto bella. Facilmente raggiungibile e non particolarmente affollata. Lo stile gotico ha sempre il suo perché!
