Nettes kleines Café im Stadtpark mit guten Produkten und nettem Service. Großes Aber: Im Café Marcel wird auch im Thekenverkauf beim Kartenzahlen standardmäßig ein Trinkgeld voreingestellt. Man muss es aktiv abwählen, um nur den eigentlichen Betrag zu zahlen. Das ist klassisches ‚Nudging‘ und für mich kein faires Trinkgeld, sondern psychologische Manipulation. Gerade an der Theke wirkt das unpassend.

Ich kann noch nicht so ganz fassen, dass ich nach über fünf Jahren in Freiburg am Wochenende das erste mal im Café Marcel war. Und jetzt schelte ich mich dafür. An einem sonnigen Sonntag dort zu brunchen war eine super Idee. Das Essen war klasse (besonders das Mandel-Croissant (Quasso!) und das Marcel Sandwich) und Kaffee wie auch Chai Latte konnten sich sehen lassen. Das wird vermutlich ein neuer Lieblingsort werden.

Posto perfetto per un break fresco nel pieno centro ma in una piccola oasi verde, il parco cittadino. Specialty coffee, non servono presentazioni. Dal caffè ai dolcetti per colazione, tutto molto buono e unico. Ci tornerò sicuramente.
