18.08 25, Nachmittags: 2 junge Verkäuferinnen stehen zusammen, ich bin einzige Kundin. Werde ignoriert.

Worst service ever. We will never go to this bakery again. Today, we were treated terribly by the counter staff and manager. When asked if we wanted to have our coffee there or to go, my husband answered that we would have it there (in German not English), when collecting our coffee the counter assistant was making it in to-go cups so my husband asked if they could do it in normal cups as we wanted to have it there. They simply, and very rudely refused even though my husband said he would buy another drink to which they could add the surcharge for sitting at the table we're super relaxed South African Germans and are "locker" about these things.. A German friend (visiting from US) was with him and said he had said it clearly in German, the first counter assistant agreed and even apologised for the mistak but had to call the manager. Even though the tables were empty they refused to allow my husband and his guest to sit at the table, told them they had to leave, and they ended up having to sit on a bench outside. I'm disgusted. We have lived here for 9 years, speak German, but customer service was zero. Either they don't have an understanding of customer service or it's something more sinister. Having lived in many places - this is pathetic, customer service is part of the deal. Cappuccino and croissants can be bought on every corner in Germany, customer service is the one thing that can make you or break you. Duh.
