Es ist wohl nirgends so schön wir hier, an dem Ort, wo sich Nostalgie, Avantgarde und gutes Essen die Hand reichen. Jahrzehnte alte Kultkneipe, seit kurzem unter neuer Regie, in hervorragender Weise weitergeführt, mit dennoch neuer Handschrift. Chirurgisch genaue Veränderungen in kleinsten Details, hauchen diesem Ort der Begegnung ein wundervolles Leben ein. Das Essen ist auch zu erwähnen. Viele vegane Gerichte, vom Haferschnitzel über die Bolo, Currywurst bis hin zum Gulasch, selbstverständlich nicht bevormundend, denn auch der Fleischesser kommt auf seine Kosten. Und das zu geringen Kosten. Das Portweinschnitzel vereint beispielsweise, je nach Wahl, proletarische Pommes mit einer elitären Sauce. Was für ein Kontrast, was für eine Ode an die Geschmacksknospen. Das Ambiente mit den Retrolampen den alten Postern, Fotos, Gitarren, dem Globus, dem Staubsauger und vielen unglaublichen weiteren dekorativen Details wirft einen in die eigene Kindheit und Jugend zurück, ohne kitschig zu wirken. Das Personal ist sehr angenehm und auch stets zu Hundebegleitung sehr freundlich. Die Musik hängt vom jeweiligen Thekenkünstler ab, weiß jedoch durchweg zu begeistern. Lange Rede kurzer Sinn, an manchen Stellen habe ich mich etwas überzogen ausgedrückt. Oder auch nicht? Ein Besuch lohnt sich jedenfalls.
