We had a truly special lunch in The midst of a day of touring. Incredible food. The liver crostini, fried zucchini blossoms, pastas, flat beans were all standouts. The steak had all the pleasures promised of dry aged funk, rock salt and perfectly rare meat. The house red was a perfect match. But even better than the food was the welcoming service. We shared laughs, had fun with the music tracks and our children were made to feel like part of their family. It was the perfect way to take a break from the tourist routes and to experience real Tuscan cuisine.

We had just finished our visit to Palazzo Vecchio when a sudden craving for lunch hit us. A quick inquiry to Grok led us to Vini e Vecchi Sapori, which was recommended. It was just a short stroll away and set to open in a few minutes, so we decided to head there. A queue had already formed outside the restaurant, but when it opened, we were lucky to snag the last table without a reservation. What struck us most was the warm, family-dinner vibe that filled the intimate dining room. Everyone was smiling, people were chattering, and waiters weaved through a labyrinth of tightly packed tables, bustling with orders, drinks, and food. The atmosphere was lively, and the food—oh, it was fantastic! The menu featured classic regional dishes, generous portions, and reasonable prices. The service was prompt, friendly, and welcoming. I highly recommend a visit here; our lunch turned out to be one of the best meals we had on our trip to Italy.
