Honestly was skeptical to try this - I heard it was a part of the stomach of the cow and never had I tried that part of the animal before! But it’s a Florence staple so we gave it a shot. It’s definitely an acquired taste - depending on how the meat is flavored it tastes a lot like lamb. The bread is also dipped in the drippings which actually tasted good. If it is your first time, I recommend sharing one sandwich to see how you like it before committing to the whole thing. This place specifically was kind enough to let us try a piece of the meat first before we bought the sandwich - he said he stewed it for 18 hours before it was ready to cook! Definitely worth a try but wouldn’t get it again probably.

While looking for something to eat, we ran into this little shop. We ordered No. 10 Vegetarian bread, it was large enough for 2 people and the taste was amazing. The fillings were ample and the bread tasted so good.

Panino con lampredotto veramente ottimo. Pochi posti a sedere ma personale cortesissimo. Lampredotto di ottima qualità e cotto benissimo, con ricetta originale. Per me, quando sono a Firenze, è tappa fissa. Alle gestrici raccomando di continuare sempre così.. Consigliatissimo!!!
