A quiet alley in the center of Bruges hides within one of its grey brick buildings the two-story De Garre bar, which has been packed since the day it opened. Finding the bar is even harder than leaving it without trying at least five types of beer.

By the way, the assortment of beer here is truly impressive - about 100 kinds. As a complimentary bonus with each new order, customers receive a free plate of homemade cheese with pepper or herbs. The pub is always busy, and seats near the miniature windows, through which one can observe the bustling city life, are especially popular and in demand.

Great little pub in Bruges. Highly recommend you find this place if you want an authentic beer (get the house trippel) in a historic place. It's a small place...maybe 20 people on each of the 2 floors...but worth stopping in for a tasty beverage.

A genius "secret" pub in heart of Bruges (about two minutes walk from the Markt). The beer of the house - a tripel De Garre - is simply perfect, and the beer with strawberry is really very-very delicious! The service is absolutely friendly. Usually the pub is so busy. Mind the opening hours Monday and Tuesday: closing at 7 PM!

Quite literally a hidden gem! Tucked down a narrow alley amongst the busy shops and cafes, you'll find this lovely bar with a cosy relaxed atmosphere. Worth a visit if you can find it!
