We’re on a 17-day cruise through Norway and Edinburgh is our final stop. This morning we had an early tender from the ship for a tour to the Royal Yacht Britannia, and we didn’t get a chance to have breakfast onboard. The kids were starving so while walking through the mall we came across The Blasta Bistro and decided to stop in. What a great find. The people working here are so friendly and welcoming. We ordered chicken nuggets and chips for our 5-year-old and a mini burger with chips for our 6-year-old. The owner was incredibly kind and even offered free drinks for the kids. My husband had the double roll breakfast sandwich with bacon and egg, along with a cappuccino. He said the cappuccino was perfectly hot and the sandwich was one of the best he’s had in a long time — you can tell the eggs were fresh. The fries were seriously the best we’ve had on the whole trip. Our daughter was surprised her “mini” burger was actually huge and she loved every bite. The service was just lovely — three different staff members came to check on us during the meal. We’re so glad we found this place. Excellent food and even better service. A perfect start to our day in Edinburgh.
