Only visited for drinks en route to Fringe venue after getting off train on 19/08/25. Place was busy due to the festival. The place is very small and has loads of character. The bar can only have x2 staff at any one time but service was quick and polite. The prices are average for Edinburgh, we had a medium white wine and a pint of lager. There is only 1 ladies toilet and it could do with updating to be honest, but it was clean and functional. We will visit again when its quieter.👍

Great place, my go-to pub when in town. Proper pub, with brilliant bar staff. Excellent value drinks, unlike just round the corner on Cockburn St.
