I do not live locally but when in the area I visit the Angel frequently. I have found the staff service , efficient and polite , in serving a very good pint. The drinking area and toilet facilities are spotless.

Affordable drinks, good interiors with plenty plasma TV sets for sports events. No food is served here though. Free WiFi as well.

Was in last night with my friend and her partner. Havent been in since decorated and was pleasantly surprised, very bright, clean etc You need to get someone who knows how to work the darts score board but apart from that, nice few hours. All staff very pleasant too, defo be back after the festival is over
