Oops! The cocktail ended up everywhere. On the table, the floor, on trainers and trousers. And once the broken glass stopped rolling on the floor the waiter cane over and was wonderful! Three of us called in for a cocktail at this Edinburgh landmark, with two opting for signature cocktails and one for an alcohol free beer. The orders are taken at the table and the staff are attentive but not intrusive. The vibe is stylish but also relaxed. Ahead of the drinks the waiter brought over a generous free bowl of olives and delicious cracker like snacks. The drinks arrived and then the oops moment when one of the cocktails crashed off the table to everyones shock. The waiter was great and the cocktail was replaced without charge (even though the accident was our fault). The bar at the Balmoral is a great place to unwind in casual yet sophisticated surroundings. The drinks, environment and staff can not be faulted. A must visit for those in Edinburgh.
