I came to the Edinburgh Dungeons not really knowing what to expect. It was quite good - more of a theatrical experience with a few frights. The actors don't touch you and visitors are encouraged to participate in the scenes. (No touching the actors) I took one of my kids - aged 13 - and we both really enjoyed it. The tour starts with photos that you can buy at the end and there is a small gift shop. Definitely recommend - buy your tickets online before you come to save a few pennies. There's a Wetherspoons nearby for affordable food and the Dungeons are right outside Waverley Station at Market Road.
