About

The Tea Barn in Durham is a charming café that offers a delightful escape from the bustling streets. Known for its sumptuous British cuisine, it proudly serves a fantastic breakfast, brunch, and lunch, with standout dishes like their hot beef bap and generously portioned chips. The sweet treats on display are hard to resist and complement their excellent coffee service. Despite being pricier than your average café, the quality of food and swift, friendly service justify the cost. Guests can enjoy the cosy atmosphere, accentuated by stylish glass dividers for added privacy. The café welcomes furry friends, making it a pet-owner's paradise. While there's an array of sweet offerings, tea enthusiasts might find the selection wanting, and a warm quiche would enhance the experience. Nevertheless, The Tea Barn remains an ideal spot for those seeking a leisurely meal in a dog-friendly environment, with the convenience of free parking and card payment options.

Went here for the first time, ordered at the counter. Food was served incredibly quickly, bacon sandwich and scones with drinks.

We love The Tea Barn! Consistently lovely food, generous portions (especially the cakes!), happy smiley service and really comfortable places to sit (inside and out). We visit lunch spots all over Co.Durham and The Tea Barn @ Pity Me Nursery is always a lovely and delicious visit. Onside bakery shop is very impressive too!
