It's really quaint but expensive. The girls working here were friendly and professional. The drinks were great

Loved it, very small, we went on a week day so we had it to ourselves mostly. The barman was very informative, we asked for an unusual drink and we were delighted with it.

A Hidden Gem in Durham! I visited Tin of Sardines a couple of days ago, and I’m still thinking about what an absolutely beautiful and aesthetic place it is! From the charming interiors to the cozy, welcoming atmosphere, it’s the kind of spot you instantly fall in love with. A special shoutout to Manan, who was my server — he truly made the experience memorable. He suggested the perfect drink (which I ended up loving!), took the time to chat with me, and made sure I felt comfortable and well looked after throughout my visit. It’s rare to find such genuine hospitality these days, and his warmth really stood out. If you're in Durham and looking for a place with character, great drinks, and even better vibes, don’t miss this one. Can’t wait to go back!
