Visited the Newton Grange Pub with my family which was half way between an appointment and home. Checked it out on the website and siggned up for a 40%off main meal dea, and booked a table. On the day we arrived earlir than anticipated but the table was ready and waiting. used the qr code on the menu to order food and drinks. this is where it went a little wrong. It appeared that the only way i could pay was through apple pay, something I have resisted, however i got the card set up, then another screen appeared tor payement which was the normal credit card rout so follwoed those directions. the journey took me through the billing stating discounts applied at the end. i enterered the code and pressed the button and was charged the full amount. Not sure what went wrong but did not challenge, I was coming here regardless of whether a discount was being applied or not, however still disappointing it did not go to plan in a couple of areas. The drinks appeared shockingly quickly which was great and confirmed the order was taken. the meal was as expected, and hot. I would visiist again. My family though next time we go on holiday in this counrty we seek out you chain to break the journey up on the way, we are always looking for places to eat.
