Dubai’s vegetable market is one of the largest in the region and offers a wide variety of produce. If handled with care, you can get very fresh items. However, some rare shops have a habit of displaying fresh produce at the front while packing less fresh or slightly damaged items inside. Prices can vary greatly depending on your negotiation skills. If you negotiate well, you can often buy vegetables and fruits cheaper than in most parts of Dubai. Without negotiation, you might end up paying the highest price. Before visiting, it’s wise to check your local supermarket prices to have a benchmark. For small households (2–3 people), visiting the wholesale market may not be cost‑effective. But if you go as a group of 3–4 families and buy in bulk, you can benefit from much better prices.
