I’m Portuguese, and I just visited Lana Lusa with my family. We left only minutes ago, but I couldn’t wait to write this. This restaurant is an absolute gem. The food is exceptional, from the cataplana to the bife à portuguesa, every bite brought us right back to Portugal. In fact, I’d go as far as to say it rivals (and even surpasses) most restaurants back home. The sauce was rich and flavorful, the French fries perfectly seasoned, everything was done with care and authenticity. What truly made the experience unforgettable, though, was the service. We were warmly attended by several staff members, but I want to give special recognition to the lovely Cuban waitress and the kind woman from Kazakhstan who first welcomed us. Both were incredibly polite, attentive, and quick, making us feel right at home. The atmosphere is refined yet unpretentious, elegant, and with a distinctly Portuguese soul. It doesn’t scream for attention but quietly impresses, much like the best of Lisbon’s hidden gems. Lana Lusa is more than just a restaurant, it’s a slice of Portugal, served with warmth and excellence. I can’t recommend it enough.
