Sophienkeller is a two-story restaurant where each room is designed in an original style. Just across the tram tracks, you find the Zwinger and the Semper Opera House. Styled after the era of Augustus the Strong, the restaurant warmly welcomes every traveler and serves generous portions of various dishes: pork on the spit, sauerkraut, a unique soup served right in bread. Waitresses in traditional Saxon dresses are always ready to pour you a schnapps, and while waiting for your ordered dishes, you can walk among the halls filled with cannons, arrows, cannonballs, and crossbows, or enjoy the musicians' play.

The location of the restaurant is exceptionally well chosen - you can't just walk by! And how can one resist when the smell of the dishes and the amazing atmosphere are so inviting to step into Sophienkeller.
