About

The restaurant Pulverturm is a unique 16th-century exhibit. The ground floor of the Kozel Palace was previously a gunpowder warehouse, hence the name "Powder Tower". Here, visitors are fully immersed in a whimsical blend of local cuisine, Saxon ditties, and the grim Middle Ages, all spiced up with authentic Bavarian beer. The "Cannonballs" alone are noteworthy - pies in a round shape with a variety of delicious fillings! And for those who like to eat "for the last time," we recommend the Henkersmahlzeit - "condemned man's meal". A waiter dressed as an executioner will bring a large skillet with grilled turkey or a milk-fed piglet, served with a side of cabbage and dumplings. The ambiance and live music will enchant any visitor!
