We had our wedding celebration/ reception at the Eagle and Child and we're so glad we chose here! Isabelle, Eve and the rest of the team really went above and beyond what we expected. The building is beautiful already, and they helped us to put decorations up. Our guests really loved the vegetarian buffet (some of them were a little apprehensive, but the food was so delicious it won them over). We were planning the event whilst not living in York, but the team were so easy to communicate with. Thank you all so much!!

Fantastic venue for our wedding reception. The staff were incredibly helpful, friendly and great at responding to emails in the lead up to the date. They were also very accommodating to our requests and the upstairs floor booked was perfect for us and our party. Everyone commented on how nice the buffet was and it was also great to be able to choose an ale for the upstairs bar. Thank you for helping us make a memorable day. We will certainly return on future visits to York. 5 stars *****
