A brilliant place to eat, just across the road from the Postern Gate on the City Walls in York. If you like good pub food, excellent service and fantastic value then you need to give the Masons Arms a try, you won't regret it.

We stayed, dined and drank here. It was a lovely atmosphere with friendly staff. The rooms are very well kept and were very clean which is refreshing! There are two ground floor rooms with a slight step and two up stairs rooms available. The drink was affordable, especially for being so close to the city centre. We ate breakfast and dinner (tea) here and the menu and specials at the time of our visits spoils you for choice. Recommended base camp for a short stay in York. P.s. amazing beer garden.
