This museum is a hidden gem. The main collection houses furniture, textiles, ceramics, glass, jewelry and more, mainly from the 20th century. Estonia has a very impressive wealth of artists and designers in the decorative arts, most of whom were previously unknown to me, so I found it very educational. On a summer day when the city was influxed by cruise ship visitors, this museum remained quiet and we practically had the place to ourselves. Highly recommend a stop here for lovers of design.

This is a not-so-little gem of a museum. If you want to understand the remarkable scope of Estonian designers, across various disciplines, this is a delightful learning experience. Well curated, lit & staffed, this is well worth a few hours of your time, & the museum will likely surprise you in its scope, too. Check it out!
