If you’re visiting any of the museums on Djurgården in central Stockholm — the ABBA Museum, the Vasa Museum, the Nordic Museum, the Wreck Museum, etc. — and are looking for a place to enjoy a wonderful meal in a quiet oasis, find your way to the Blå Porten Restaurant & Cafe (it’s right next to the ABBA Museum). The restaurant offers a large selection of buffet-style dishes — the desert selection is impressive — as well as a delicious menu of hot dishes you can order, with drinks, of course. Our group included a vegetarian and two people with gluten limitations; all of us found wonderful dishes and deserts to enjoy. We ate in a quiet courtyard that has a large number of tables that easily handled our party of five. Staff were available to remove plates or take more orders. Delicious meals in a quiet and comfortable setting: a great way to spend an afternoon.
