Bastard Burgers is my new happy place, which is strange because it’s basically meat, and graffiti. And yet… I walk in and feel strangely calm, like my inner chaos knows it’s about to be sedated by melted cheese and friendly service. It’s not haute cuisine. No one’s shaving truffle over your fries. But it is good - like, “I’ll-eat-this-too-fast-and-regret-nothing” good. The burgers are unapologetically stacked, the fries are criminally addictive, and the vegan options are so convincing I briefly questioned my own existence. The staff? Delightful. They look like they all play in different bands but would help you move house if you asked nicely. Somehow they manage to be chill, efficient, and genuinely nice - a rare trifecta in the burger world. Bottom line: if you’re looking for inner peace via comfort food and a place that feels like your cool friend’s living room (if your friend could grill), Bastard Burgers is your spiritual burger dojo. Would I go again? Yes. Am I already there writing this? Also yes.
