Having moved to Oxford circa 2022, and being from God's own country myself, I was looking around Oxford for a place where I could get a taste of home.. I remember hearing from people in my community that this was going to open up, and I remember excitedly running to it on the opening day... Suffice to say since then, I have visited Thejus at least once a week since then.. This is the only place that makes me feel like I'm back at home.. One of the best and most authentic keralite food places in Oxford.... If you are a foodie or love Indian food, run to it today... I guarantee you won't find a better experience... They have the staples of keralite cuisine... They do specials which are mouthwatering... My recommendations would be the Chilli chicken, beef varattu and porotta ( and this is me being forced to pick, really everything on the menu is superb)... Being freshly prepared, you can even ask them to adjust spice levels according to what suits you... The specials especially the chattichoru and the mandi are a Sunday treat that my family and I look forward to... Not to mention the fact that they do an onam sadhya ( Google it, thank me later).... I can only give it 5 stars here... In reality, for how the food takes me back to my home, I would have given it more.... The staff are amazing and the ambience is clean and nice... If you have any questions, just ask them and they'd be happy to help... All in all, Thejus is where I go to get food close to what my mom would make... The food they make isn't just food for me, it's an emotion, it's like being back in Kerala, and seeing the rain and while holding a hot glass of chaaya ( not Chai tea) and listening to old malayalam songs...

Loved our meal here. The pazhamporri and beef roast combo was just delicious crispy, sweet, and perfectly paired with the spicy beef. But my absolute favourite is still the lamb biriyani hands down the best in Oxford. The flavours are authentic and comforting every single time. Highly recommend if you’re craving real Kerala food
