Came here for dinner on a Monday and ordered the duck and octopus salad. I took the salad because it was so highly recommended by others. I was skeptical at first, but the salad turned out to be lovely.

I stumbled upon Le Cénac and decided to take a chance, as my husband and I will be in Nice for two months and are on the lookout for favorite spots to share with visiting friends. The staff were welcoming, though I did feel they weren’t quite as warm toward me — perhaps because it was clear right away that I’m American. The food arrived beautifully plated. I ordered the seafood and rice platter, which was generous in portion but unfortunately lacked freshness and flavor, especially in the seafood. The wine was average, though the overall atmosphere was quite pleasant. While I probably won’t return, I still appreciated the experience and the chance to try somewhere new.
