Great for parties. Very welcoming staff

It seems like this place needs some TLC, some attention and staff that care to make it a nice pub again. The decor looks like it could do with an upgrade. The food is ok, but the pate tasted like it was bought from the local ASDA and the bread is obviously supermarket bought. The only nice quirk is that they have put shelves in the toilet cubicles to place your mobile phone while sat on the toilet. It’s nice a finishing touch.

I am writing to provide feedback on our recent visit. We ordered one Sunday lunch, one child's lunch, and a sandwich. Unfortunately, the food was not up to a good standard. The Sunday lunch was undercooked, with parts of it still raw, and the beef quality was poor. The child's meal was also of a cheap standard and not very good. Additionally, the bread for the sandwich was not fresh, making it quite disappointing. While the staff were excellent and the pub was clean, the overall food experience was a big letdown, and we will not be returning. I recall the pub always being busy in the past, but it's clear that it is no longer as frequented as it once was.
