Such a beautiful house. We are lucky that it has been restored and will be there for generations to come. I learnt so much about Elizabeth Gaskell. I had no idea she was friends with Charlotte Bronte. The volunteers are very knowledgeable and I was shown inside the wardrobe to see Elizabeth's wedding veil and her shawls. Had an excellent pot of decaf tea in the tea rooms.
