After checking out of our hotel in the historic center of Málaga, we were looking for a place to have breakfast and found La Habanera, a gem on the Paseo Marítimo el Pedregal. We arrived around 12 PM, and although it was quite hot and it took us a little while to find parking, the experience was totally worth it. The restaurant is located right in front of a pleasant pedestrian path, which gives it a very relaxed atmosphere with sea views. Some fans on the terrace would be great for the hotter days. The atmosphere felt very local and authentic, and both the staff and the other customers were incredibly friendly. I especially want to highlight the service from the waitresses (I think one was named Melissa, I'll attach a photo in the original review!), who were super attentive and nice the whole time. There were four of us, and we ordered a varied and delicious breakfast: a classic "pitufo" bread with tomato, two club sandwiches for the kids which were very complete, and a plate of eggs with avocado and bread that was delicious. We had two coffees to go with it all. The total bill was €30, a very reasonable price for the quality and location. Without a doubt, a perfect spot to enjoy a quiet, quality breakfast with exceptional service. Highly recommended if you're looking for an authentic Málaga experience!

Looking at the other reviews I felt compelled to write about our experience. The service was excellent - yes they don’t speak English and our Spanish was very limited but we were both eager to communicate so it was not a problem. They even offered to move the umbrella when they thought it was getting too much sun on us. The gazpacho they said had finished but then came back out n said we could get one which was really nice. The food was excellent. All cooked to order croquetas, patatas bravas, reveultos de gambas and tomatoe salad. My partner had sangria and wine which he said were very good. Really positive experience - thank you we will be back
