The Fountain of Cibeles is surrounded by two Spanish palaces and a bank, conveniently located near the Prado Boulevard. At the center of attention is the sculpture of the goddess of fertility, Cibeles, who sits on a chariot pulled by two lions.

Both the goddess and the proud, yet humbly obedient lions, are made of white marble. The fountain is beloved by locals and visitors alike, and it's common to see little children playing nearby, enjoying its refreshing coolness. The only ones forbidden from approaching Cibeles are the supporters of the Real Madrid football club. After one of the club's victories, fans dressed the statue of the goddess in the team's colors and inadvertently broke off one of the statue's arms.

Es un centro perfecto para tomar el bus que te lleva y trae del aeropuerto por 5€ cada trayecto usando el transporte 203. Ubicada más o menos a 15min a pie de la Puerta del Sol y desde ahí se puede tener una primera gran impresión de la ciudad. Usualmente cuando el Real Madrid ganaba sus partidos, aficionados y equipo se unen para celebrar en este lugar; actualmente solo el capitán puede ingresar a la fuente.

Fuente neoclásica del siglo XVIII en la que se representa a la diosa Cibeles en un carro tirado por 2 leones. Una de las fuentes mas bonitas de Madrid.
