Updated to 2025: An enormous veggie frittata piece with a wonderful helping of roast cauliflower, julienned beetroot, and bulgar wheat was the perfect takeaway. I also had a delicious walnut chocolate chip. Review from 1999: I popped by here late on a Sunday afternoon and got the small mix of the roast cauliflower, red cabbage and tabbouleh for takeaway. The cost of the small plastic container at a little over a fiver was a bit steep, and the counter person wasn’t the friendliest, but two days later the food tasted lovely for dinner: fresh, tangy and herby. The counter offers an array of savoury options and the window sweet options so it’s all very tempting.

We stopped here only briefly for a coffee and a croissant, but the warmth of the welcome and the kindness of the owners towards us and our dog, made me want to right a review. The Parlour is lovely - a great atmosphere, lovely looking food and delightful people.
