I had dinner at Legare and overall enjoyed the experience. The ambience was lovely, though for my taste it quickly became overly loud. The food was pleasant, but given the glowing reviews I had read beforehand, I left slightly disappointed. The duck ragu was dominated by lemon flavour, with only a few shreds of duck and little depth of taste. The burrata, while creamy, was simply drizzled with olive oil and felt no different from one I could pick up at the supermarket. On a brighter note, the liver and heart starter was well done, and the plum tart for dessert was enjoyable. Everything was nice—but sadly, nothing had that “wow” factor I was hoping for.
