Hot Mess Toasties – what a name, what a vibe. Honestly one of the best cheese toasties I’ve ever had in my life. Gooey, crispy, cheesy perfection. My mate went for the onion & cheese (apparently their most popular) and yeah… I stole a bite, and yeah… it was banging. The lady serving us was a total sweetheart, proper friendly. Place was quiet when we went so no wait at all, just straight to cheesy heaven. Only catch is there’s no inside seating, so you’re at the mercy of the British weather – we lucked out with sunshine, but if it’s raining it’s definitely a grab-and-go situation. If you find yourself in Waterloo (or central London), do yourself a favour: check this place out on the river, just beyond the national theatre. Trust me, you’ll never look at a regular toastie the same way again.
