With a couple of hours to kill until my train back home, I wandered into Stratford's enormous Westfield shopping centre. Truly NOT my sort of place. Packed with Saturday shoppers, young kids doing drug deals in the toilets and not a seating area anywhere to be found. In the food court, where there are many tasty offerings and certainly far from enough seats, I found the Danube Kebab Point. Danube? Kebabs, surely are Turkish, so why not the Bosphorus Kebab Point? We must be told! I hadn't had a kebab for many a long year, but this was, I am sure, among the very best. The mixed kebab (£8.90) wasn't greasy at all, served with assorted sauces, a nicely grilled pitta bread and a very fresh mixed salad. However, the place was mobbed and quite why, when the food court is still open till late, were the toilets shut at 6pm. Crazy.
