I've been to the Photographers Gallery twice recently to exhibitions, both were of an high quality (entertaining and educational), and the entrance fee is very reasonably priced. The gallery is well set out over various floors (accessable by both lift and stairs), there is also a gallery shop and cafe on site. I would highly recommend a visit and consider making yourself a member.

This place always has interesting exhibitions. Start at the top (take the lift) then with your way down to the cafe and shop. It's cheap and just the right size too, so you can see everything without getting sore feet. I wish all galleries were this nice.
