St. Paul's Cathedral has dominated the London skyline for more than 300 years after being built following the great fire of London. Although I have visited on previous occasions, I had to visit again to climb the steps to the balcony around the dome. I wasn't disappointed and think I might have even seen Mary Poppins!

This place is for four distinct groups of people. Decide which one you’re in before you get here. The first group stays on the main floor and goes down to the crypt (where the cafe and gift shop and bathrooms are). The second group goes up 250 very thin but wide stairs to the inside dome seating area. The third group goes up 150 thick and narrow steps to the first outside deck, with seats, where pictures are either of people and blocked views or great views but no people. The fourth group, the most adventurous then climbs another 125 steel steps to the golden ring almost 300 feet off the ground for the most amazing views. And then climbs all the way back down. It is NOT for the weak and there’s no turning back except at each groups’ stop. But, well worth the trouble, if you can muster it.
