Fantastic little bar. Hidden amongst houses you need to ring the door bell and you're taken out of Lisbon and into a drinkers where time stands still. Decorated with traditional artworks and decor this place is a must for even just a night cap. Host was friendly and service was excellent

O Bar Procópio é daqueles sítios raros que nos fazem sentir em casa mal pomos os pés dentro da porta — e não é só uma metáfora: parece mesmo que entramos numa sala de estar com história, luz baixa e alma antiga. Já lá fui vezes sem conta. Chova ou faça sol, segunda ou sábado, e nunca me desiludi. A única exceção? Quando calha estarem americanos a falar demasiado alto e a quebrar o encanto… mas vá, isso não é culpa do staff. Ali, fazem aquele que, para mim, é o melhor dirty martini de Lisboa — equilibrado, salgado no ponto, quase uma obra de arte líquida. O whiskey sour é outro clássico que nunca falha. E se estiverem prontos para arriscar, peçam o Bite My Neck — o nome pode assustar, mas o sabor conquista. Parte do que torna o Procópio especial é quem o faz acontecer. A Sofia, a gerente, é daquelas pessoas que claramente sabe o que faz — percebe-se que tem anos disto, e ainda assim mantém uma simpatia genuína que nos faz sentir bem-vindos desde o primeiro segundo. Já fui várias vezes atendido pela Constança, que é um verdadeiro amor de pessoa: atenta, cuidadosa, sempre com o gesto certo no momento certo. Na verdade, sinto que toda a equipa tem uma espécie de sexto sentido. Sabem o que nos apetece mesmo antes de pedirmos, reparam no que está a faltar antes de sentirmos falta, e aconselham sempre bem — seja na bebida, no ambiente ou até na conversa. O que me prende ao Procópio não é só o copo na mão — é o ambiente, as conversas que se arrastam noite dentro, os olhares cúmplices de quem também ali foi encontrar um refúgio discreto da cidade. Mas, aviso já: preparem-se para esperar. Às vezes há fila. E a quem chegar com vozes demasiado entusiasmadas (sim, vocês, turistas barulhentos), lembrem-se: aqui fala-se baixo e ouve-se bem. Voltarei sempre que puder. O Procópio nunca me falhou. É uma pequena instituição lisboeta — e, se me perguntarem, um daqueles lugares que fazem falta numa cidade que, às vezes, se esquece do valor de um bom silêncio, de uma bebida bem feita e de uma conversa sem pressa.
