Fantastic location and the interior feels like a nice country pub, but unfortunately let down by the quality of the food. When we entered and said we had a reservation, my name wasn’t taken and the staff seemed confused for some time as to whether they even had space for us. The bread for my starter was barely toasted and cold. The garnish on my partner’s starter was wilted and a few days old. Both of our mains were served on plates swimming in a thin watery “gravy” with poor presentation. The beer on draught also wasn’t great. Walked around outside the pub after our meal and found broken glass and plastic rubbish which didn’t help the overall impression. A shame!
