Walking down the street in Ghent looking for a place to eat and relax we found a place called Surtoe. It looks inviting so we decided to try it. We were immediately greeted and politely greeted Ordered and were promptly served. The mussels and pasta were phenomenal! As was the beer. Fun and comfortable place that I highly recommend. The restaurant is run by a local couple in Ghent. The mussels and the veal were delicious. The restaurant is frequented by the locals of Ghent. The atmosphere is inviting and relaxing. We were well taken care of. I highly recommend this restaurant.
